Reliant Releases Redbox Customer Portal

Industry’s first cloud-based interface for integrated systems, security, support and PCI audit management

New York, NY, January 9, 2015 – Reliant, the market leader in virtualized retail application and data security solutions, announced the general release of its Redbox Customer Portal. The Redbox Customer Portal is the first interface to integrate systems management, security, support and PCI audit readiness for Retail Systems. The portal achieves this by consolidating these functions under a single, cloud-based user interface that includes integrated security management to provide authorization, authentication and auditing functions.

The Redbox Customer Portal represents a milestone in our continuing efforts to meet this objective,” said Richard Newman, Reliant’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “The Portal provides our customers with security, management, operations and documentation under an intuitive, PCI-compliant interface. As Retail moves toward the Agile Store Model, in which new in-store applications are deployed under a software-defined infrastructure paradigm, the Redbox Customer Portal will ensure that these disparate functions remain synchronized.”

In its 1.0 Release, the Reliant Customer Portal integrates the following functions:

  • Redbox Platform Manager: The Redbox Platform can be centrally managed and configured via the web through our online Redbox Platform Manager.
  • Reliant Wiki: The Reliant Wiki is a documentation repository and communication vehicle between Reliant Security and our clients.       Each client is provided its own secure homepage, on which items such as design documents, FAQ’s, How-To documents, and PCI compliance-related documentation can be found.
  • Reliant Helpdesk: Our online helpdesk portal allows clients to create new helpdesk tickets independently and view the status of outstanding helpdesk requests.

In preparing the Portal for general release, several Reliant Customers were given the opportunity to utilize the Portal in its beta version. Once such customer is Chris Borders, Systems Manager from DTLR. According to Borders, “We work closely with members of Reliant’s technical team. The Reliant Customer Portal allows our team to sign into a single gateway and have access to a variety of interconnected systems that give us both control and status of our Redbox population. The Reliant Customer Portal allows us to remain closely aligned with our counterparts at Reliant.”
